If the lion of fear is chasing you, it's the grace of God chasing you to help you realise that you're not your ego. Ego died when Jesus died on the cross. Now you're that fearsome lion in Jesus, and scare the worldly lies of ungodly power, money and sex away from you, because they're scared of Jesus who fills us.
We died because our ego died when Jesus died. And our true self in Jesus is made manifest only through and in Jesus. Jesus is the Lion in us, courageous, without fear and fearsome.
