- Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
Jesus is our mediator between God and men. God accepts us because of Jesus in us.
The mediator Himself is God, as Jesus is God. Therefore, God is both a mediator and one of two parties involved in this mediation, namely God and men.
Jesus is also a man. Therefore, he can mediate or represent for us to God. Jesus is the perfect person, pleasing in the sight of God. Likewise, we are completely pleasing to God because we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus in us.
